The following is the prologue to the first book.

PROLOGUE

Four suns and four moons ago a group of mystical creatures fell from the clouds above and another group rose up from the fires below to become the new order of living beings on this planet. They would control life as we know it. On this fateful day the planet stopped moving causing one half of the planet to be light constantly and one half to be dark constantly. The world would be divided into three new lands, the Valley of Illumination and the Midnight Mountains and the Forest of Shadows where all the great battles in the future would be fought, for here, it was not light or dark, but gray. The humans no longer had a stronghold on our planet and would be forced to become myrmidons. There were eight groups that were sent by the Gods. The angelic spirits, the shaman, and the fairies came from the clouds above, the witches and warlocks, the ghouls, the trolls, goblins and gremlins came from the fires below. Don't be fooled though they were not sent here to live in peace, they were sent here to find three books, the Book of Elandor, the Book of Garenon, and the Book of Arisat. These three books contained all of the magical spells and curses ever known to man and the one who controlled the books would rule the world.
The books would not be easily possessed and to find all three they must first start with one, the Book of Elandor. This book contained many magical spells which were necessary to take over the planet. The Book of Garenon contained curses and when used with the Book of Elandor the possessor would only become stronger. The Book of Arisat, was the most powerful and would be the final piece of the puzzle, it contained not only spells and curses but also secrets about the planet no living being should ever know.
Once all three books were found and the collection complete the holder would rule the entire world.
The Mystical Journey begins now, where good and evil collide and the battle for the three books will either spell the beginning or the end of the planet.
